Poverty and Inequality
Health Inequalities
Nobody
should have a better service than me
Carol Batton 16/5/03
We have a separate page on Child Poverty
We know what makes us ill.
When we are ill we are told
That it’s you who will heal us.
When we come to you
Our rags are torn off us and you listen all over our naked body.
As to the cause of our illness one glance at our rags would
tell you more.
It is the same cause that wears out our bodies and our clothes.
Bertolt Brecht,
1898-1956. Worker’s Speech to a Doctor
Links on this page are generally concerned with the UK. It isn't
that we are not interested in international issues, just that we lack the capacity
to tackle them. But the Gapminder web
site is worth looking at just because it is so beautifully made and revealing
about the changes in international health and prosperity
