Videos from the SHA London meeting held on 25th September 2024 on Child Poverty
The three speakers outlined the devastating impact of worsening poverty on the current and future health of today’s children, the effects on children’s education and stress on parents. Speakers were Apsana Begum, MP for Poplar and Limehouse in east London, Mari Burton, national co-ordinator of the ‘No Child Left Behind’ campaign by the NEU (National Education Union), and Dr Ian Sinha who is a respiratory paediatric physician from Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.
