Well done and thank you to Noemi Fabry for leading the redevelopment of the SHA website and to Martin, Jos, Brian, Tony, and Shibley for their efforts. And to Remeike Forbes and Mike Little who made it happen
Our web site is important as an increasingly valuable way of exchanging ideas as well as disseminating our policies. We encourage discussion and debate and even occasionally feature articles by those who/challenge our ideas. Our Editorial Group ensures the guidance we have agreed is followed.
Our key role continues to be the discussion of policy based on our values , leading to consensus or a clear majority view that we then campaign for – predominantly within the Labour Party. We will also look to ensure any Labour government implements the policies we advocate. We also support campaigning where we can and also/ offer training and education. In all these areas our web site can make a valuable contribution.
We are continuing with our development of policy and had an interesting exchange on the role of the private sector, hopefully we can put something on this topic on the site and then discuss at our next Central Council meeting .
We are also thinking about delivery as it is far easier to think of how our care system could be better, less easy to see how we can bring change about without reorganisation, huge transitional costs or other upheaval – the NHS has had enough.
Please help us to develop what we have to offer through our website.
The team have done an excellent design job but we still welcome new ideas, suggestions and questions.
