Clive Lewis

Labour Party

During my time as the MP for Norwich South, I have been consistent in using my platform in Parliament to advocate for improved, universal healthcare access. In Parliament, I spoke against the Tories’ health care reforms when they were passing through Parliament. I highlighted the failures of the privatised social care model.

The NHS is nothing without the workers who make the service run. I backed NHS public sector in their asks for improved pay and working conditions, and I defended their right to strike when this was attacked by the Tories.

I have been an outspoken champion for a publicly funded and democratically controlled NHS. That means an NHS where everyone can access the healthcare they need when they need it – whether that is care for cancer or arthritis, maternity or mental health, dentistry, or GP access. If I’m re-elected, I’ll continue to make health and social care a priority.
